Kevin and I arrived safely home last night around 1:30 am. He drove the entire way and was exhausted upon arrival home. The traffic was probably the worst we have ever seen it — Kevin figured out that over a 9 hour period we were averaging 25 mph
Then as a welcome present, it snowed and sleeted this morning. However, we kept Mary Noel today and she is such a ray of sunshine that she makes up for yucky weather!!!
We are facing the reality of going back to work tomorrow. We still have a few things to unpack, and then get things ready for work, but we are thankful we have wonderful jobs that we enjoy to go to.
A special thanks for the warm hospitality goes to Nat and Phil and Mom and Dad.
We love you all!

Well, it’s Friday night and we are preparing to leave Florida in the morning. We have had a wonderful vacation which included airboating in the Everglades and seeing around 40+ alligators (and none of them were from Gainesville!)
We visited Tigertail Beach and located a number of beautiful shells including conchs and whelks.
On our way home we visited Naples which is about 10 miles from Marco Island. We fell equally in love with this lovely city.
Upon our return to Largo on Thursday evening we fell into bed and awakened to a beautiful day on Friday (today). We had the pleasure of seeing the group that Daddy sings in called the choraliers. We enjoyed this so much and also got to see Uncle Bob and Aunt Beryl Sydnor who are the most active, best looking 89 year olds around!!!
All in all it was a wonderful week!

I am writing this from the delightful Lakeside Inn at Marco Island, Florida. We entered Florida on Friday, the 18th and have traveled to Tallahassee, Largo and now to Marco Island. I’ll have to get Kevin to check the mileage on our trip, but I know that the miles are adding up!
Today we took a airboat ride in the Everglades – one of Kevin’s lifelong desires
We have seen dozens of alligators, many ibis’s and a snake. I’ll have to admit – the number of alligators down here is rather unnerving!
This is our first visit to Marco, but I hope it won’t be our last. I think we have fallen in love.
